Don’t Pout
Everyone needs a friend to come along when things aren’t going well. The girl on the left was the first to sit down with the biggest pout on her face. A little ways away her mother was busy selling souvenirs to the tourists walking by and it seemed that a request from the girl was met with a swift denial from the mother.
Within minutes the second girl, perhaps a sister, maybe just a friend came by and sat beside her. It didn’t take long and the two were smiling and sharing memories together.
We need those people in our lives. Life can hand us all disappointment and grief. We need a friend to see us in our bluster and with a gentle but guiding hand lead us back to a place where we are grateful and encouraged.
